In a piston tube (5) connected to the piston (4), the air brake cylinder (1, 2, 3) with built-in automatic adjusting device has a threaded spindle (7) which can be displaced relative to the piston tube (5) and is screwed to a nut (10) via a none self-locking thread. The nut (10) is provided on both sides with coupling faces (11a, 11b) which can be placed against corresponding coupling faces (12a, 12b) on the piston tube (5). A spring (13) is clamped between the piston (4) and the threaded spindle (7). A second spring (16a) is clamped between the piston tube (5) and a first spring support (23) mounted rotatably and displaceably on the nut (10). A third spring (16b) is clamped between the first spring support (23) and a second, forward spring support (22) which, in the released condition, is supported against the piston tube (5) and, during braking strokes, is supported against the nut (10) from the point when coupling changeover occurs. The first spring support (23) is supported counter to the direction of the braking force by a fixed stop (14) and, in the released condition, a second stop (18) connected to the nut (10) is situated behind the spring support (23) at a distance (A) corresponding to the application stroke. A fourth spring (24) is arranged between the nut (10) and the first spring support (23). The second, third and fourth springs (16a, 16b and 20) subject the first spring support (23) to a load counter to the direction of the braking force. <IMAGE> |
