PURPOSE:A soft and smooth cosmetic to provide very refreshing feeling, containing one or both of meadowfoam oil obtained by extracting the seed of medowfoam and a hydrogenated material thereof. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic containing one or both of meadowfoam oil (extracted from the seed of Limnanthes alba, or meadowfoam as another name) having unsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid, eicosanic acid, eicosenic acid, docosenoic acid, docosadienoic acid, etc. and a hydrogenated material thereof. The meadowfoam oil has extremely high safety, no skin irritation at all, and hardly eye irritation. Its odor is very mild. Meadowfoam wax obtained by hydrogenating meadowfoam oil is wax having high flexibility and gloss, suitable as a lipstick, and also usable as an emulsion stabilizer and thickner for emulsified products. |
