PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for using cooling water by cooling the work by the electric wind by the corona discharge generated between the work which is irradiated with high density energy beams in the beam irradiating part and electrodes facing the work. CONSTITUTION:When the inside of the work 3A of a cylindrical shape shielded airtightly with a shielding plate 12 is evacuated and a high DC voltage is applied between electrodes 11, 11 and the work 3A from an electric power source 14 for high DC voltage, corona discharge is generated between the electrodes 11, 11 and the inside circumferential wall of the work 3A. Electric flow for the work 3A is generated by the corona discharge, by which the work 3A is cooled. If the electrodes 11, 11 deviate with respect to the central axis of a high density energy beam 2a, the high density energy beam 3a between the electrode 11 and the work 3A deviates and the electric flow deviates as well; therefore, the electrodes 11 are disposed symmetrically with respect to the central axis of the beam 2a with the work 3A. |
