PURPOSE:To simplify the cleaning of the inside of a slurry conveying pipe or the like, by securing, in the upper part of a tubular casing, a tubular valve guide having an inner diameter less than the outer diameter of the valve and as well having an obliquely cut end opening, so that the opening of the valve guide is directed to a branch-off port. CONSTITUTION:A spherical valve 5 is positioned on a valve seat 4 which is disposed in a tubular casing 3 by being screwed in and secured to the lower part of the casing 3. A tubular valve guide 6 having a diameter less than the outer diameter of the valve 5 and as well having an obliquely cut end opening 6a is secured to the upper part of the tubular casing 3 with the opening 6a being directed to a branch-off port 1. By conveying solid bodies such as, for example, sponge bodies, together with water, the valve 5 is advanced toward the branch-off port 1 along the opening 6a of the tubular valve guide 6, and then is abutted against a cover 2 so that the solid bodies are conveyed into an upper conveying pipe, thereby the inside of the conveying pipe may be cleaned. |
