PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of oscillation energy, by working at least one end part of each main surface of a rectangular plate crystal piece into a plane and thus forming steps after working both main surfaces of the crystal piece into curved surfaces. CONSTITUTION:Both main surfaces of the crystal plate 100 are formed into curved surfaces 1 and 2 with X-axial curvature R at the center parts and both end parts of both main surface are worked into planes 3-6 to form steps 7-10. A thickness sliding crystal oscillator of said structure has leakage of oscillation energy prevented by the steps 7-10. For this purpose, affixture by a conductive adhesive are performed at plane holding parts having the plane parts 3-6 to nearly eliminate variation in equivalent resistance. Said working results in that the energy confirment effect of the thickness sliding crystal oscillator is reinforced more, thus obtaining a high-Q crystal oscillator, i.e. crystal oscillator with small equivalent resistance. |
