发明名称 REGENERATING METHOD OF PARTICULATE TRAP FOR DIESEL ENGINE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To reduce a cooling loss and to carry out reliable ignition and effective regeneration of a trap of an electric heater, by a method wherein the trap is regenerated by heating the trap simultaneously with leading of secondary air into it after suspension of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A particulate trap 18 is connected with an exhaust manifold 16 and the trap 18 is formed by providing a trap material 20 made of foamed unit made of an inorganic material within a casing. An electric heater 22 is provided within the trap 18. A secondary air leading duct 23 opened within an exhaust pipe upstream the trap 18 is connected through a secondary air control valve 24 with a secondary pump 26. When necessity for regeneration of the trap is detected, simultaneously with actuation of the heater 22 after suspension of an engine the secondary air is led into the exhaust duct from the pump 26 for carrying out the regeneration of the trap.</p>
