PURPOSE:To improve the startability, by providing an exhaust release passage in a drive shaft housing and providing a valve operable in response to a temperature sensing element in the exhaust release passage. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust release passage 7 is provided in a drive shaft housing 1. A valve 11 operable in response to a temperature sensing element 12 is provided in the exhaust release passage 7. At starting, a water level is located at L, and the temperature sensing element 12 is therefore cooled to open the valve 11. Accordingly, an exhaust gas is emitted in the air. At full speed running, the water level is located at M, and the temperature sensing element 12 is therefore heated to close the valve 11. Thus, an exhaust pressure at starting is reduced to thereby easily start an engine.
