A vertically adjustable board, preferably a camp bed, a bed, a table or the like, is held at two mutually opposite sides in each case by three parallel and pivotable bearing arms. The attachment points of one of the bearing arms are offset in height, preferably upwards, relative to those of the other bearing arms when the board is arranged horizontally. In this case, all three bearing arms are of equal length and the central bearing arm is preferably offset in height relative to the two adjacent outer bearing arms. This results in a secure fastening during the pivoting of the board from one end position into the other, even in the position in which all the bearing arms run parallel to the board. Special guides with the aid of stabilisers, slots or the like, which would not have enough room, for example inside vehicles, are avoided.
