<p>PURPOSE:To produce steel plates of excellent shapes having target crowns in a rolling mill provided with an automatic control device of a gage meter system for thickness and a roll bender by separating the mutual interference of the thickness control and the shape control. CONSTITUTION:The rolling reaction in the stage of rolling a steel plate 1 with work rolls 2 is detected with a detector 6 for rolling down force, and the manipulated variable corresponding to the difference between said reaction and the reference rolling reaction for the purpose of making the thickness on the outlet side of the plate 1 constant is calculated with an arithmetic device 10 and is outputted to a servocontrol valve 9a. The inside pressure of a bender is detected with a pressure detector 5 and the manipulated variable of the bending pressure is calculated with an arithmetic device 11 and is outputted to a servocontrol valve 9b. Both manipulated variables interfere with each other and affect the control targets which are the crown deviation and thickness deviation of the plate 1; therefore, both maninpulated variables are inputted to a compensation arithmetic device 12, by which the new manipulated variables are outputted to separate the mutual interference of the thickness control and shape control of the material 1 and to control both thickness and shape thereof without interference, whereby the steel plate is controlled to the target thickness and crown.</p> |
