A door assembly includes a door (407) which is slidable in the plane of a wall (402) to open or close an access opening (404). Operation of a rotary opening handle (409) causes power to be transmitted to running wheels of the door. A bolt (461) is adapted to project from the door (407) and to fit in the wall in response to an external operation.
