PURPOSE:To obtain a cam shaft which is lightweighted and possesses a superior abrasion resistance by using a cam part equipped with a hollow shaft part and a positioning part. CONSTITUTION:A fitting hole 4 for a shaft part 2 is provided with, and a projecting positioning part 5 is formed over the whole inner peripheral surface of the fitting hole 4, so that the top edge of the shaft part 2 makes contact with it. Each of said shaft part 2 is produced by cutting a hollow pipe made of iron alloy of compartively low cost by the prescribed length. A cam part 1 and the shaft part 2 are fitted with each other, and the fitting part 9 is welded and fixed integrally. Thus, a lightweighted cam-shaft having a superior wear-resistance can be obtained. |
