Apparatus for producing a plurality of voltage or current waveforms in constant mutual phase relationship consists of a rotatable cylinder 13 carrying oscillograms 14 and 141 whereby modulated direct or reflected radiations from a radioactive isotope 11, 12 are received by transducers 18, 19 to provide modulated electric voltage or current. The transducer may consist of a Geiger tube or photomultiplier and scintillating crystal followed by an integrating device. The material carrying the oscillogram may consist of paper, cloth, plastic film, metal or other suitable material which is either transparent or opaque to the radiation according to transmission method employed. The oscillograms may be produced by drawing, etching, photography, printing, if desired by photographically reducing on to microfilm. The system may be used to generate the frame, line, synchronizing and flyback suppression signals used in a television system. |
