<p>PURPOSE:To shorten rearrangement time when a workpiece is changed, by automatically modifying a tool management number programmed in numerical control data, in accordance with a tool identification table in which tools corresponding to workpieces are memorized. CONSTITUTION:A tool stored in a tool magazine 11 is attached to a main shaft 15 by an exchanger 12 to machine a workpiece W. When a different kind of workpiece is set, an exclusive tool necessary to machine the workpiece W is delivered to the magazine 11 by a truck 30. The necessary tool T is selectively moved to a tool exchange position Pc in accordance with a conversion table in which the management numbers of tools stored in the magazine 11 and tool symbols of kinds corresponding to holding positions in the magazine are memorized correspondingly. When the exclusive tool is replaced, the conversion table is modified according to a tool identification table in which the exclusive tools are memorized correspondingly to the kinds of workpiece.</p> |
