PURPOSE:To protect a pinion and a pinion shaft against uneven wear caused by the movement of the pinion shaft at the time of locking differential gears, by inserting the pinion shaft into an elongated hole formed in a differential case, and interposing a ring between the pinion and the differential case. CONSTITUTION:A pinion shaft 5 is inserted into an elongated hole formed in a differential case 3. A pinion 4 fitted loosely on the pinion shaft 5 and side gears 6 are held in mesh with each other, and clutches 7 are interposed between the side gears 6 and the differential case 3 so as to effect locking of differential gears. Further, a ring 9 including a spherical seat 12, an outer peripheral surface 10 and a shaft inserting hole 13 is interposed between the pinion 4 and the differential case 3. |
