PURPOSE:To increase a stereoscopic picture in sharpness by narrowing down the optical width of the image light of a dot image when it is made incident to a screen, and also narrowing down the optical width of the image light of a dot image when it is emitted from the screen. CONSTITUTION:A stereoscopic picture display 200 consists of a picture tube 6, optical path selector 7 arranged on the fluorescent screen 6a of the tube 6, and transmission type screen 9 arranged in front of the selector and on an observers' side 8. When a video signal is supplied to the picture tube 6, a picture is formed on the fluorescent screen 6a and light from the fluorescent screen 6a is passed through planoconvex lenses 71-75 of the optical path selector 7 and then supplied to the screen 9. The optical width of image light made incident to the screen 9 is narrowed down extremely. |
