PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized optical head while permitting the both-side reproduction of a disk, by fitting a total reflecting mirror and a control mechansim to a single supporting body. CONSTITUTION:Incident light 21 is reflected by the total reflecting mirror 22 to illuminate an optical disk 24 through an objective lens 23. For example, focus control over the optical disk 24 is performed by driving a cylinder 30 where the objective lens is fixed by a VCM with a coil 28 in a focusing direction by a focus-error signal of reflected light from the optical disk 24, and track control is performed by driving a cylinder 31 where the total reflecting mirror 22 is fixed by signal VCM with a coil 29 in a tracking direction by a tracking signal. Thus, the total reflecting mirror and control mechanism are fitted to the single cylinder as the supporting body to allow the both-sided reproduction of the optical disk, thereby obtaining the small-sized optical head. |
