The method consists in steeping sugar in an essential oil and the sugar thus steeped is then stored for a period sufficient for the sugar to be totally impregnated and to permit the reaction between the constituents of the sugar and the constituents of the essential oil so as to form a water-soluble product. Lump sugar is preferred. The product makes it possible to prepare aqueous compositions, particularly infusions, from essential oils. |
