PURPOSE:To raise durability, by using a photoconductive material having a photoconductive layer made of amorphous silicon contg. at least one of hydrogen or halogen, and a specified layer structure. CONSTITUTION:A photoconductive material is composed of a substrate 101, an auxiliary layer 102 consisting essentially of amorphous silicon contg. up to 43 atomic % nitrogen; a charge injection preventive layer 103 consisting mainly of amorphous silicon contg. atoms belonging to the 3rd group of the periodic table as a component, and a photoconductive amorphous layer 104 consisting essentially of silicon contg. at least one of hydrogen or halogen, and it exhibits deterioration phenomenon against repeated uses, and has superior durability and high pressure resistance. |
