摘要 <p>A process for recovering sulphuric acid from waste waters makes use of the operating principle of the lead storage battery, in accordance with which the sulphuric acid electrolyte participates directly in the cell reaction. In order to bind the sulphuric acid selectively as lead sulphate by a discharge process, it is even sufficient to supply the waste water containing sulphuric acid to an electrolytic cell in which only one of the two electrode polarities of the lead storage battery (Pb or PbO2) is present, paired with a reversible H2 or O2 electrode as counterelectrode. After interrupting the flow, the sulphuric acid is liberated from the lead sulphate by recharging the cell (regeneration) and is able to pass through the manufacturing process again.</p>
