In circumstances where a mother is nursing or where any caregiver is otherwise attending to an infant by holding it in his or her arms, it is known that there is considerable loss of mobility for the caregiver which results in difficulty in accomplishing tasks that might otherwise be performed while sitting. In this invention there are fittings and accommodations suitable for: retaining a book or other documentation; holding beverage containers; supporting implements; and affixing washcloths, bibs and the like. In this fashion, the caregiver is able to read a book, have access to refreshment, have access to accoutrements such as washcloths, bibs, toys, etc. A reasonable application of this invention would be made by a nursing moth er or other caregiver to hold a book, baby bottle or other refreshment, and washcloths or bibs in a secure manner and easily accessible throughout the period of relative immobility due to attending to the needs of the infant. The invention is comprised of a flat rectangular surface set back a few degrees from vertical with a smaller surface extending at right angles from its bottom edge. The assembly is supported by a stand of adjustable height. The flat near-vertical rectangular surface is angled in a fashion to serve as a book support to provide easy viewing ofdesired reading material and has, integral to its construction, a strap comprised of clear plastic affixed wit h elastic. The lip, or protrudence from this support holds the weight of the reading material and has, integral to its construction, slots, clips, and retainers suitable for securing beverage containers, washcloths and other necessary accoutrements.
