摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain the titled compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for fluorine-containing compounds and heating media, lubricants, etc. easily in high yield at a low cost, by reacting hexafluoropropylene with an oxidizing agent in the presence of a catalyst and a specific amount of an inorganic base in the two phase system. CONSTITUTION:Hexafluoropropylene is reacted with a hypochlorite as an oxidizing agent in the presence of at least one onium salt selected from a quaternary ammonium salt, quaternary phosphonium salt or quaternary arsonium salt as a catalyst in the two phase system of an aqueous phase and the organic phase. In the process, 0.1g equivalent or more, based on one mole hexafluoropropylene, inorganic base, e.g. sodium hydroxide, is used to carry out the reaction to give the aimed substance. The presence of the specific amount or more of the inorganic base provides stable and remarkably improved results (conversion ratio and selectivity) of the reaction.
