PURPOSE:To obtain 3-stage load characteristics of a main-and-auxiliary laminated leaf spring without losing comfortable riding feeling in a method to give non-linear, 3-stage characteristics to the laminated leaf spring by installing the both ends of the auxiliary spring to an auxiliary spring bracket, leaving a clearance between the spring and a car frame. CONSTITUTION:In a main-and-auxiliary laminated leaf spring which consists of a main spring 20 and an auxiliary spring 25 that is attached to the tension side of the main spring 20, the main spring 20 is fixed to a car frame 50 by means of through holes 21 and 21 provided on its both ends, via a front bracket 22 in case of the fore end of the main spring and via a rear shackle 23 and a rear bracket 24 in case of the back end. In the auxiliary spring 25 which is joined to the main spring 20 by means of a center bolt 26, the free chamber of the spring 25 is set in such a way that the both ends of the auxiliary spring 25 stay lower than the pin inserting holes 31 and 31 for supporting pins of the auxiliary pin brackets 30 and 30 when the load imposed on the springs 20 and 25 is smaller than P1, so that the insertion of the supporting pin 33 into the insertion hole 31 is carried out while the load greater than P1 is imposed on the springs 20 and 25. |
