<p>PURPOSE:To carry out the titled iron manufacture smoothly in excellent heat efficiency and an original unit, by a method wherein scrap is melted in a reactor by oxidation heat of a carbonaceous material and, after the exhaust gas therefrom is used in preheating the charged material of other reactor, the function of the reactor is alternated with another. CONSTITUTION:Scrap 5 and a carbonaceous material 6 are charged into reactors A, B. In this state, a molten iron 7 prepared in other installation is added to the reactor A and oxygen is blown thereinto from gas blowing-in ports 123, 124 to oxidize the material 6 while the part of formed CO is oxidized to CO2 as well as the scrap 5 is melted by the oxidation heat. Subsequently, the scrap 5 and the material 6 are replenished to increase the amount of molten iron while the blowing-in of oxygen is stopped and the reactor A is inclined to discharge molten iron. During this time, the high temp. exhaust gas from the reactor A is introduced into the reactor B and oxygen is also blown thereinto while CO is oxidized to CO2 to preheat the charged substance. In the next step, the part of molten iron discharged from the reactor A is added to the reactor B to alternate the functions of the reactors A, B with another.</p> |
