PURPOSE:To obtain amorphous magnetic heads with high yield, by processing that a nonmagnetic inorganic adhesives is filled over butt sections of core halves, the adhesives are molten at the 1st prescribed temperature and the amorphous magnetic material is bonded, and rapidly and gradually cooled. CONSTITUTION:The nonmagnetic substance inorganic adhesives 7 is filled in each groove 6 of a guard member block 5, which is cut off to obtain a guard member plate 8. An amorphous metallic magnetic member thin plate 1 is clipped to obtain an assembly 9. The assembly is kept for 10min at the 1st prescribed temperature Tp higher than the Curie temperature Tc and lower than the crystallization temperature Tx, cooled suddenly to the 2nd prescribed temperature Ts, i.e., the solidifying temperature of the member 9 and gradually cooled to room temperature. The member 9 is cut into pair blocks 10a, 10b. A gap spacer is formed on the cut and polished surface of the blocks 10a, 10b, a nonmagnetic substance inorganic member rod 12 is inserted in a widing groove 11 to soften the rod 12 and the member 9, allowig to form an operating magnetic gap (g) between both surfaces of the plate 1. The contact surface F with the magnetic medium is formed and the head is completed by cutting the member. |
