PURPOSE:To provide water repellency on the surface of a ferromagnetic thin metallic film surface and to improve corrosion resistance, by depositing alkyl phenol on said layer. CONSTITUTION:Alkyl phenol can be deposited on the surface of a ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer simply by dissolving the same in a suitable solvent such as methyl isobutyl ketone, dimethyl formamide or dioxane and coating or spraying the soln. obtd. by the dissolution on a ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer which is beforehand formed then drying the same or by dipping said layer in said soln. then drying the same. The preferable amt. of deposition is in a 5- 100mg/m<3> range. Magnetic materials such as Co-Ni alloys, Fe-Ni alloys and Co-P in addition to single metals such as Co and Fe are used as the material for forming the ferromagnetic thin metallic film layer. |
