PURPOSE:To temporarily sinter a compressed powder body without generating crack, breakage or carbide, by exposing a carbon support plate, a Mo-thin plate placed on said support plate and a W-or Mo-compressed powder body placed on said thin plate to hydrogen-containing atmosphere at a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:A Mo-thin plate 10 with a thickness within a range of 0.2-2.5mm. is placed on a carbon support plate 9 and a compressed powder body 2 made of W or Mo is placed on said thin plate 10. The resulting composite is automatically sent into a temporary sintering furnace in which hydrogen containing atmosphere is formed at a temp. within a range of 1,000-1,500 deg.C by a pusher to carry out the slight sintering of the compressed powder body 2. By this temporary sintering, the strength of the compressed powder body 2 is enhanced to an extent capable of withstanding a current passing sintering process. |
