PURPOSE:To enable continuous reading of data in cascade connection by connecting a plurality of devices in a cascade manner so that one of them is operated in a master mode and the others in a slave mode. CONSTITUTION:When a device is operated in a master mode, a control signal for display generated by a display control circuit 4 is given to a read control circuit 3, and the circuit 3 reads data from a memory 2 and delivers the same to a bus 1. After data in the highest address of the memory 2 are read out, the control signal for display is delivered to the other devices via the bus 1. In a slave mode, data in the memory 2 are delivered to the bus 1 by using a control signal for display from another device connected in a cascade manner, and after data up to the highest address of the memory 2 are read out in the rising sequence of addresses, the control signal for display is transmitted to the other devices. When the reading of data is performed to an end address in the falling sequence in the memory 2, the other devices are informed that the transmission of the control signal for display be discontinued. |
