PURPOSE:To provide universal mills by forming guides to the housing of existing breakdown mills and mounting cartridges provided with vertical rolls to the housing by making use of said guides. CONSTITUTION:Both horizontal rolls 7, 8 of breakdown mills are removed from a housing 3. All required next is to assemble cartridges 10 having vertical rolls 16 and upper, lower horizontal rolls 7, 8 into one body and to build the assembly into the housing 3. Here, the horizontal rolls fromed with large diameter parts 7A, 8A for rolling the web 1A of H-shaped steel in the central parts are appropriated for the rolls 7, 8, and are assembled into one body by means of pieces which support the same while providing prescribed spaces between horizontal roll chocks 5 and the cartridges 10 and between the cartridges 10 and horizontal roll chocks 4, respectively. |
