PURPOSE:To generate a normal nugget in a part to be joined, and also to give no hindrance to a surface shape, etc., by constituting so that current density in a contact part of a material to be welded an an electrode ring is made larger in a thin plate side than in a thick plate side, and executing seam welding. CONSTITUTION:When seam-welding materials to be welded 11, 12 whose plate thickness is different from each other, the thin plate 11 side is brought into contact with an upper electrode ring 5, the thick plate 12 side is brought into contact with a lower electrode ring 8, and voltage is applied to the electrode rings 5, 8, respectively. In this case a feeding area of the electrode ring 5 is made smaller than that of the electrode ring 8, and current density in a contact part 13 of the electrode ring 5 and the thin plate 11 is made larger than current density in a contact part 14 of the thick plate 12 side. According to this method, no nugget is generated in the thick plate 12, and in the boundary part of the plates 11, 12, a normal nugger 15 is generated. |
