PURPOSE:To prevent overheat of a voice coil, by connecting an arrester which has been charged with inert gas, to a loudspeaker in parallel, so that an excessive load is not exerted. CONSTITUTION:Opposed sides of electrodes 2a, 2b are projected. Projecting parts 4a, 4b are coupled by placing an insulator 5 between. The outside circumference of the projecting part is sealed by a sealing body 7, and the inside is charged with inert gas. When overvoltage is applied between the electrodes 2a, 2b, discharge occurs around the insulator 5. Voltage for starting the discharge is capable of deciding a gap between the electrodes by thickness of the insulator 5, therefore, the control can be executed exactly. Moreover, by pressure of inert gas and its kind, the discharge start voltage can be set to about 20V. |
