摘要 A wind deflector, for reducing the flow resistances in land, air and water vehicles, in which the same forces which act as lift forces on the aircraft main planes are used as traction forces. They are equipped in profile in accordance with the current state of the teaching relating to flow mechanics. Correspondingly, the outwardly directed convex side is more strongly curved than the inwardly directed concave side. Generally, relatively thick profiles with a large nose radius are most suitable for this because they develop the largest pressure and suction forces. They are to be applied in such a way that they are flowed around in the longitudinal direction and the resulting forces act as forwardly directed traction forces. They are made of metal or plastic. They are attached to spacing elements so that the wind deflectors are freely flowed around. The deflector component (x) is equipped in such a way that a favourable flow behind is produced. If the wind deflector is attached in such a way that the upper convex side is directed forwards and obliquely downwards, in addition better road holding is produced together with the traction force in land vehicles. The patent consists in the fact that the wind deflector is to be used universally for reducing flow and resistance, which is equivalent to a saving in energy or a gain in speed, in all vehicles. Whilst the conventional spoiler only produces a greater degree of road holding with a minimum gain in energy by means of counter pressure, with the wind deflector the greater degree of road holding is produced additionally. <IMAGE>
