发明名称 PRODUCTION OF COMPOSITE MATERIAL DISPERSED WITH ALUMINUM PARTICLES
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a composite material dispersed with Al particles with high quality and at a low cost by compression molding a mixed molding of Al alloy powder and ceramic powder while heating the same in a way as to melt part of the Al alloys. CONSTITUTION:The Al alloy powder produced by heating Al alloys to the temp. at which solids and liquid coexist, agitating the same mechanically and pulverizing the mixture to powder is mixed with >=1 kind particles of ceramics such as alumina, silica, silicon carbide, titanium carbide, tungsten carbide, or silicon carbide, so as to contain the same at 55-90% in volume ratio. Such mixture is packed in dies for forging, and after the mixture is prepressurized, the mixture is heated in a temp. range wherein the fraction of the solid phase in the Al alloy powder attains 0-90%, then the powder is compression molded at the conditions under which the Al alloy powder is ina half-molten state, whereby the Al alloys are solified. The composite material dispersed with the Al particles having good mutual dispersibility of the Al alloys and the ceramics and high hardness is obtained.
