PURPOSE:To set the areas inner by the width of specified distaces from the boundary prt with the adjacent other dot display positions as display prohibition areas and to prohibit lighting of said display positions when the current position of a vehicle is included in the dot display prohibition areas. CONSTITUTION:The shaded areas which are inner by specified distances Mx, My from the boundary parts with the adjacent other dot display positions in the x- axid and y-axis directions among the dot display positions having a specified length L with respect to the x-axis and y-axis directions are defined as inhibition areas Fx, Fy. When the data for the current position of a vehicle operated with a position operating circuit belongs to one of either the region Fx or Fy, the lighting and displaying of the display positions are prohibited; therefore, in the stage of displaying the traveling loci of the vehicle which are in the diagonal direction with respect to the arranging direction of the dot display part of a display panel of a dot matrix display system, the display positions are lighted successively so as to make one array along te traveling loci in the diagonal direction, whereby the displaying of the traveling loci is made easy to see. |
