<p>A hollow, shaped article formed in one piece from a thermoplastic material has an open end and a substantially closed end. Shapes are formed on the inside and the outside of the substantially closed end. The shapes include internal and external threads, sized to be matable. In a preferred embodiment the end portion containing the external thread shapes is connected to the end portion containing the internal threads by an easily broken connecting piece. The article can be formed by an extrusion-blow molding process which includes the use of an extendable blow pin. The extendable blow pin compression molds shapes on the inside of the substantially closed end of the article and provides pressure for compression molding shapes on the outside of the substantially closed end of the article. The article can also be made by well known injection molding or injection-blow molding processes. The preferred embodiment of the article is useful as a dispenser of flowable materials.</p> |
