PURPOSE:To reduce processing stages by a method wherein a connecting rod for a ball and socket joint type piston is press-molded to be incorporated a large end part with a shaft, then said rod is processed by connecting with a spherical body part. CONSTITUTION:In the manufacturing method of a connecting rod for a ball and socket joint type piston, which is composed of a large end part 2 having a penetrating hole 7 through which a crank pin is inserted, a spherical body part 1 which is engaged with a piston main body and a shaft 3 which one end part is fitted to said large end part 2, the other end part is fitted to said spherical body part 1, the following processing is included, that is, the processing of press- molding for incorporating said large end part 2 with said shaft 3, and processing of connecting said spherical body part 1 with the opposite end part of said large end part 2 side of said press-molded shaft part. |
