A single-lever mixing valve, especially for the sanitary field, is described, in which the forces required to rotate or to displace the moving plate cam are introduced via two driver fingers, at least one of which is located eccentrically with respect to the rotation axis. The driver fingers are integrally formed on the pivoting journal via which the actuating shaft of the valve is pivoted on a rotatable neck part. In consequence, the lever arms via which the moments required to rotate the regulating disc are generated can be kept very large; the forces required for linear movement are introduced at two points so that the local stress, which could lead to wear, is halved. A further advantage is that the water guide channel can be kept very deep in the moving plate cam.
