In the method, a gas flow is maintained through a circulating drum (52). The gas flow is controlled on the basis of the quantity of exhaust gas emerging from the drum, and as a function of the continuously monitored gas pressure in the drum (52). The aggregates contained in the drum (52) are heated using a burner (68) for preheating the gas flow. The method permits the delivery of the drum charge in the form of a homogeneously stabilised mixture.
