PURPOSE:To connect ceramic tubes of a U shape, etc. easily by forming a joint part of refractories which have two through-holes and are enclosed with a metallic sheath, mounting the same to the outside wall of the furnace, inserting the radiant tubes through the through-holes and connecting the same on the outside of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A joint part 4 formed by enclosing refractories 6 provided with through-holes G in the inside with a metallic sheath 5 of a steel plate or the like is mounted to the shell 3 on the outside wall of a heat treating furnace by using flanges 7 or the like. The end part of a ceramic radiant tube 1-1 is inserted into one side of the openings of the holes G in the part 4 and the end part of a similar tube 1-2 or a metallic radiant tube is inserted into the other side, and both tubes 1-1, 1-2 are connected with the part 4 on the outside of the furnace. Then, the combustion gas in the furnace is run from the tube 1-1 to 1-2. By this connecting method, thermal efficiency is improved markedly in the heat treating furnace using ceramic tubes. |
