PURPOSE:To enhance the light resistance, etc. of a picture by adding a specified metallic complex compound as a metallic ion donor causing no diffusion of metallic ions to a layer contg. a dye mordant. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by formulaI(where A is sulfonic acid, sulfonamide, carboxylic acid or the like; J is a bivalent bonding group; m is 0- 1; L is a group represented by formula II, III or IV and derived from a compound having a ligand capable of forming a complex with a multivalent metallic ion by coordinate bond; each of R<1>-R<3> is H, alkyl, aryl or the like; X is N or methylidyne; n is 0-1; and M is H, an alkali metal or an ammonium cation is reacted with a multivalent metallic ion such as Ni<2+> or Zn<2+> to form a metallic complex compound. By adding the complex compound to a layer contg. a dye mordant by about 5-100mg/100cm<3> layer, the desired photographic element is obtd. |
