An adjustable nozzle assembly (10) for providing a water/air jet for a whirlpool bath, has user-selected shut-off during operation. The assembly comprises a water pressure supply pipe (14), an air supply pipe (16) and a water/air mixing chamber (18). A check valve (50) is open during normal flow operation to allow air to be entrained in the water, but blocks off the air passage during shut-off operation to prevent water back flow. The shut-off is effected by manual rotation of a spring-loaded eyeball nozzle (36) secured between inner and outer flanged cylindrical fittings (30, 24) in a bath wall (22). <IMAGE>
