A cylindrical deflection chamber consists of finned tube walls cooled on all sides, an inclined chamber bottom with an inlet constructed in the form of a tube, disposed concentrically round the chamber axis and taken to the top region of the deflection chamber and a gas outlet for a hot stream of product gas flowing upwards, originating from a gasification process and containing liquid and/or glutinous particles of fuel ash. The flowaway cross-section (3) in the deflection region of the deflection chamber (1) amounts to a multiple of the outlet cross-section (2) of the inlet (4) constructed in the form of a tube. The gas outlet (6) emerges below the outlet cross-section (3) from the wall of the deflection chamber at an angle of inclination of 110 DEG -130 DEG , preferably 120 DEG , into the inlet region of which the inclined chamber bottom (5) leads. <IMAGE> |
