<p>A system of thermal insulation for a wall of a building and a method for applying the insulating material to the wall. A fluid resin partic. polyurethane resin is applied to the exterior of the wall so that it can there expand and harden to form a foam layer. The layer is mechanically anchored to the wall, partic. with clout nails. The outer face of the foam is covered with spray-applied fluid to form a coating which hardens and which contains granules of expanded glass. The coating then protects the insulating system against thermal shock damage.</p> |
