The actuator for a vehicle brake regulating valve comprises two pivoting levers (6,14) one (6) of which controls the valve (2) and the other (14) of which can be locked by an auxiliary hydraulic actuator connected into the brake circuit. As the load increases, a cam (11) attached to an anti-roll bar (10) causes a rod to bear onto a collet (16a) and move the upper lever via a compressed spring (15) raising the valve cut-off threshold. Under braking, the rod moves downwards but the lower lever locks preventing movement of the upper lever and avoiding premature cut-off.
