Handler for tipping crate ampoules into loading funnel - pushes crate off elevator onto slide on pivoting frame adjacent to funnel wall opening

The handler lifts a crate (8) of pharmaceutical ampoules (4) and causes it to deposit its contents in a loading funnel (3) of a packer (5,6). A roller conveyor (9) feeds crates one by one onto an elevator (10) to be lifted and pushed sideways onto a slide (20) mounted on a pivoting frame (21-27). A retracting spring loaded rocking fork may secure the crate on the slide, the frame then pivoting to swing the crate through an opening in the funnel wall. The far funnel wall (40) is pivotable and self-righting and adjusts to seat the ampoule heads, support to their now horizontal sides being provided by a retractable vertically reciprocating cross wall (40). The crate is retracted and ejected, the pivoting wall dressing the consignment for a vertical descent on the cross-wall.
