PURPOSE:To improve a performance of maintenance and inspection by a method wherein a self-diagnosis switch is arranged in an air conditioner, thereby a display part and a remote control part etc. are capable of being controlled automatically by a customer for its diagnosis under a partial program instruction applied to a micro computer mounted in the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:Under a normal operating condition, a compressor relay 10, and a fan relay 14' are controlled up to a desired room temperature set by a remote control device 21, thereby the room temperature is controlled to show a constant value. The room temperature is displayed by the room temperature displaying light emitting diodes 24-30. With this condition, when the customer i.e. the user claimed a trouble in which a part of the light emitting diodes 24- 30 is not lit, or a trouble in which the fan is not rotated, a self-diagnosis change- over switch 2A is turned on by a service man and a group of self-diagnosis instructions is repeatedly executed by a micro computer 20. That is, the light emitting diodes 24-30 are lit in sequence, air speeds of the fan is changed over and the diagnosis judged in reference to the operating condition. |
