PURPOSE:To obtain two-layer film medium of the vertical recording system excellent in the recording and reproduction characteristics, by adopting <=60 deg. of incident angle, in forming a permalloy film continuously on a base moving with a vacuum deposition device. CONSTITUTION:A base 1 is moved along the circumference of a cylindrical can 7 from a supply roll 8 in the vacuum deposition device to a winding roll 9, permalloy is formed from a vapor deposition source 11 via a mask 10 so as to limit the incident angle at <=60 deg., and a vertical magnetization film made of Co-Cr film is formed on it. |
