PURPOSE:To facilitate the determination of a circuit constitution in testing a tank type multi-points breaker arraged while insulated from the ground, by employing nearly the same circuit constitution for restriking voltage generation of plural high voltage sources. CONSTITUTION:A large current source 25 and a high voltage source 26 tests the performance of a breaker unit 17 and a voltage differing in polarity are applied from a high voltage source 27 to the metallic tank 18 of the breaker insulated from the ground potential nearly simultaneously with that from the source 26 to test insulation performance between a breaker end supported in the tank 18 while insulated and the tank. In this case, restriking voltage generating circuits for the sources 26 and 27 have nearly the same constitution of resistances, reactors, and capacitors; and the inductance of the main reactor of the source 26 is made less than or nearly equal to that of the source 27, and the capacitance of the main capacitor of the source 26 is made greater than or nearly equal to that of the source 27. |
