PURPOSE:To facilitate a read of a measured reference value by detecting the amount of displacement of a block gauge group and generating an electric output corresponding to the amount of displacement, and displaying the amount of displacement digitally. CONSTITUTION:A zero point is set while the end surface of each block gauge 14 in a block gauge group 15 is raised to a prescribed position between gradations 16A on a fixed scale 16. Namely, a plate member 72 and a spherical body 73 are connected together so that the end surface of each block gauge 14 rises by only 1mm. above a corresponding fixed scale gradation 16A. A main switch 53 is turned on and the 1st and the 2nd changeover switches 54 and 55 are placed at an absolute measurement and a calibration side respectively; and the block gauge group 15 is moved up and down through a handle 28 to put a position detecting means 71 the moment the end surface of each block gauge 14 is positioned only 1mm. above the corresponding fixed scale gradation 16A, and consequently a holding state is reset immediately to allow a digital display 52 to start counting. |
