What is described is a stop device for top door closers, which has a cam disc connected to the closer axle and a blocking element prestressed towards the cam disc and in the form of a rocker lever which possesses a first lever arm assigned to the cam disc and having a catch stop and a second lever arm, on which engages a spring prestressing the catch stop towards the cam disc, this rocker lever being displaceable in respect of its rocking axis and, at the same time, being pivotable out of its position corresponding to the blocking position.
