An egg is heated at a weak power to between 70 to 85 DEG C of the egg cooking temperature, and the detection signal of a detection sensor (8) detecting small amounts of steam, gas or odors produced from the egg being heated during the weak power operation is determined so as to set and control the full heating time, thereby realizing the automatic microwave cooking of the egg.
